Description

‘Who am I?’ is an activity that could be used as part of a holiday club. You could get volunteers from your church, the children’s parents and the community to dress up as different fictional characters, perhaps following a theme. They could then be positioned around your local town centre.

The leaders and groups of children from the holiday club will then hunt for each of the dressed up characters and ask them a question such as ‘what is your name?’ Each answer will then form part of a bible passage. John 3:16 (NLT) contains 29 words. The groups will then have to re-arrange the words to discover the bible passage.

Rationale

This is an exciting activity to enhance an existing holiday club. It teaches the bible in and enjoyable manner, and promotes the holiday club in the town. It involves parents, and community members and helps engage them in an activity, which may help them consider further questions about faith.

Outcome

A fun, holiday club activity with wider participation.
