'Back to School with God Sunday' is a fantastic way to pray for and support your young people and school staff at the start of a new school year. It is an excellent bridge between church and school, and an encouragement to Christian pupils and staff to consider the fact that God is not confined to church, but goes with them to school. All the resources you need are provided for you to run a whole morning service or a 10-minute 'Children's Talk' within a service. Resources include suggested ways of presenting the Bible story, teaching points, PPT slides, children's activities, and prayers. All are FREE to download!

The specific aims of Back to School with God Sunday are:

To raise awareness of prayer for schools in general, and the need for prayer for local schools in particular;
To support and encourage Christian pupils and staff in their daily life at school, and as part of this, to let them know they are valued and prayed for by the local church;

To challenge Christian pupils and staff to live out their faith in the school environment, and in particular to support any Christian witness in their school.
It is suggested that, wherever possible, an invitation be extended to local school staff to join you in your service.

What others say...

"The service was incredibly well received."

"It was the first time I had done it and the first time for the church too. Thank you for a fabulous programme. We will definitely be doing it again next year."

"A number of the schools said how much they appreciated the interest and prayer support of a church and we will keep in touch."
