Description

Approach your local pub and ask the landlord if you can organise a community Carol Service there one evening on the run up to Christmas. It might be worth trying a Sunday evening as you could then encourage the congregation to join you.

Rationale

Carol singing is a nostalgic activity for many people. With fewer people attending the local church at Christmas this is an ideal opportunity to create a neutral space and encourage a reflection (through song) of the Christmas Story.

Outcome

We would hope that in hosting a Carol Service in the local pub some people might be encouraged to think again about the Christmas Story. It is also an opportunity to encourage people to come along to the church Carol Service.
